HR Administrator - £35,000 - £50,000 - Cambridge – Hybrid Working

 

Wise May are currently recruiting on behalf of a rapidly growing defence organisation for a People Administrator / Advisor to join their expanding Operations team. This is an exciting opportunity reporting into the People Operations Partner. The role is collaborative, within a high-growth environment, offering excellent exposure across the wider business alongside fantastic progression opportunities.

This is a full-time permanent opportunity offering hybrid working alongside a flexible, output-focused culture. Our client is looking for a highly organised and adaptable individual who is comfortable working within a fast-paced environment and enjoys supporting a busy People function across a broad range of HR administration and Advisor responsibilities.

 

HR Administrator duties and responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Operations team
  • Support onboarding processes for new starters across the business
  • Prepare contracts, onboarding documentation and HR paperwork
  • Manage employee records and maintain HR systems accurately
  • Support benefits administration including private medical and pension queries
  • Assist with coordinating Employee Resource Groups and internal initiatives
  • Schedule meetings, interviews and onboarding sessions
  • Assist with process improvements and wider People projects
  • Provide general HR support across multiple departments within the business
  • Proactive and solutions-focused mindset with the ability to use initiative and adapt quickly to changing priorities
  • Willing to support across a broad range of responsibilities and approach ad hoc tasks with a positive attitude
  • Able to think practically and independently when resolving problems and improving processes

 

HR Administrator key skills and experience required:

  • Previous experience in a similar HR or People role
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills
  • Comfortable working within a fast-paced and evolving environment
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proactive and adaptable approach to work
  • Confident managing multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
  • Experience within a scaling, technical or professional services environment would be advantageous
