People Business Partner - £60,000 - £100,000 - Cambridge – Hybrid Working
Wise May is currently recruiting on behalf of a rapidly growing defence organisation for a People Business Partner to join their expanding Operations team. This is an exciting opportunity to join an innovative and collaborative business within a high-growth environment, offering autonomy and the chance to shape people processes as the company continues to scale.
This is a full-time permanent opportunity offering hybrid working alongside a flexible, output-focused culture. Our client is looking for an adaptable and proactive individual who is comfortable working within a fast-paced environment and confident implementing new ideas and building processes from the ground up.
People Business Partner duties and responsibilities:
- Partner with managers and leadership teams across multiple business functions
- Provide support and guidance on Employee Relations matters
- Support organisational growth, team structuring and workforce planning
- Assist with performance management and employee development initiatives
- Work closely with the internal Talent team to advise on hiring activity and business growth on an ad-hoc basis
- Build and implement HR processes, policies and internal structures
- Support training and people development across the organisation
- Build strong working relationships across engineering and operational teams
- Provide HR advice within a scaling environment
- Contribute towards maintaining a collaborative and positive company culture
People Business Partner key skills and experience required:
- Previous experience within an HR Business Partner or Senior HR Advisor role
- Strong Employee Relations experience
- Keen to work within a fast-paced and evolving environment
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Open-minded, adaptable and solutions-focused approach
- Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload
- Experience supporting technical, engineering or high-growth businesses would be advantageous
- Confident working with autonomy whilst collaborating closely with wider teams
