Wise May are looking for a Operations Manager with London Market experience to join this vibrant Insurance business in the heart of the City. As an Operations Manager you will work alongside the Head of Operations to drive operational excellence, foster a culture of continuous improvement and support the the strategic direction of the business operations, including business processes and procedures, application management, business process change and IT controls.
This is a full time, 12 month fixed term contract, with hybrid working (4 days in the office / 1 day remote) and the salary is up to £100,000.
Operations Manager key duties and responsibilities will include:
- Provide regular updates to the Head of Operations and contribute to planning and team development initiatives.
- Represent the division internally and externally as appropriate.
- Assist with the day-to-day operational activities, ensuring adherence to established procedures and regulatory guidelines.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with external vendors.
- Monitoring data quality and data entry across all divisions.
- Application support. Ensuring Vendor queries and application issues are answered and dealt in a timely manner.
- Ownership of the Business Continuity Plan.
- Assisting with audit management and reporting to include ensuring timely returns of regulatory reporting requests, including terrorism reinsurance pools and monitoring the entry of our Employers Liability risks and ensuring timely entry to ELTO and lead audit.
- Maintain and monitor the required licenses for the business functions including terms of business /agents’ agreements (TOBAs).
- Support the CRO with annual Risk Register assessment.
Operations Manager skills and experience required:
- Recent experience working as an Operations Manager within the London Insurance Market.
- Experienced in executive level stakeholder management.
- Comprehensive working knowledge of local markets and where applicable international and Lloyd’s Markets.
- First class people skills and a team player.
- Proven motivational and leadership skills to the Operations Division / Function, enabling teamwork and promoting a collegiate culture.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at various levels, both verbally and in writing.
