Wise May are looking for a Governance Assistant to join this amazing Investment Management business in central London.
Someone with experience in a similar role is desirable due to the understanding and demands of a busy Legal department. The role is a maternity contract - 12 months FTC.
Governance Assistant duties include:

Working closely with and supporting the Group Company Secretary to ensure compliance with relevant company law and regulation

Preparation for and holding of Board and Committee Meetings, including the preparation of Board/Committee Meeting Agendas, Board/Committee Meeting Packs, assisting in the facilitation of Board/Committee Meetings, and assisting in the monitoring of follow-up actions

Online filing system

Working closely with the Legal, Finance, Compliance and Investment Teams

Assisting in the development and implementation of an enhanced corporate governance framework across the Group and all jurisdictions

Assisting in ensuring that the statutory records for entities remain complete, up-to-date and accurate.

Governance Assistant key competencies/skills required:

Experience working in company secretary and/or legal teams ideal but not essential

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Excellent IT skills, particularly Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Pro

Exposure to Diligent Boardbooks and Entity Management desirable, but not essential

Attention to detail and a well-organised approach to work

The ability to prioritise work and to work well under pressure
